There is a lot of debate out there about whether CrossFit is good, bad, or in between… and I think it really is 110% dependent on the facility you are at, and the goals that you have as an individual. That said, I have felt inspired to make a short list of the reasons that keep me going back to the facility I am at for more!
i) Women are encouraged to be STRONG and starving yourself skinny is NOT cool
ii) I always feel challenged by the workouts, and driven to get better
iii) Rolling over in the middle of the night after a particularly difficult “WOD” reintroduces you to muscles you thought had disappeared 🙂
iv) Encouraging atmosphere, that celebrates your victories and supports you when you are struggling
v) It forces me to face myself – my fears, my insecurities, – and makes me better for it.
I know CrossFit isn’t for everyone, but it is for me. I have never in my life felt more comfortable with the skin that I’m in – until next time!
