Running half marathons makes me fat. I know that sounds a little bit funny… all of that running should equal super fitness. All it does it makes me want to sit on the couch and eat for a couple months to recover.
So it’s been a couple months since I survived the Detroit Half marathon and I decided this morning it was time to rendezvous with the bathroom scales. They confirmed my theory. So I’m pretty sure that’s it! No more running half marathons! In my opinion the human body is not designed to run that far anyway. Short distances, quickly makes more sense to me – especially considering how I’d like my fitness apply to the dog agility ring!
So…. this morning I decided it was time to get my butt back to the CrossFit gym and get moving! The workout was intense, but I survived it in one piece. Thankfully I worked the dogs BEFORE working myself… Pretty sure tonight I’m going to be on the couch recovering!
