I have been playing with the idea of starting a blog up to talk about my journey for awhile. I have finally decided to jump in with both feet and give it a try! I have to say, it’s hard to know where to begin.
A little bit about me perhaps? I just turned 30. (eek!!) I am a Canadian Certified Pedorthist, Sheep & Alpaca shearer (farm girl roots!), wife, agility nut, scuba diver, paleo-eating crossfitter, photographer (for fun), aspiring guitar player (i.e. total newb), air streamer, avid traveler, ……. the list goes on.
I’m not worried about running out of things to talk about, I’m just not sure where to begin!
My husband works out west in Alberta’s Oil Sands, and is coming home tonight. His schedule is actually not too bad, he is gone for 2 weeks, then home for 2 weeks. It gives me lots of “me” time, and he has far more time off then he used to. Bryan used to be a tank truck driver, and is now working in Health & Safety. I’m so proud of him. He is working towards becoming a CRSP “Canadian Registered Safety Professional”, which is quite a big deal in the field. In order to write his exam he has to have a certain amount of field experience plus course work/knowledge. I’m one of his biggest cheerleaders – the further ahead his career gets, the more time I have for my adventures!! 🙂 I love my job too, its just that I have so many hobbies….and to be honest, agility is pretty much taking over my life!
While Bryan is home we are traveling into Michigan to go to a couple of agility trials, and get some quality time in with some friends, and each other. Looking forward to the next couple of weeks, and will be sure to share lots of stories & pictures! I was told there is a really nice “starry night park” in Northern Michigan – we are hoping that the weather cooperates and that we are able to see one of the last remaining dark skies.
Thanks for stopping in! Any suggestions or comments please feel free to leave them!
